BU basketball is about developing our student- athletes on and off the court. CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT Women's basketball student-athletes maintain a terrific relationship with BU's Dean of Student's Office, which opens doors to opportunities throughout campus. The Terriers also volunteer annually with the American Cancer Society, Special Olympics, BU's Holiday Reading Program and are involved with the Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC). INTERNSHIPS Two of the four members in the current senior class turned summer internships into jobs, joining a long list of BU alums who traveled the same path. The University recently opened a new Center for Career Development making finding internships, resume building and interview preparation more accessible. ACADEMIC OPPORTUNITY Part of what makes BU a great university is the wide range of academic offerings. There are over 256 majors/ minors and the university maintains an impressive student-to-faculty ratio of 13:1. Throughout the years women's basketball players have run the spectrum of what they have studied. Eight of the 11 players on our current roster have different majors. Senior Melissa Gallo spent the summer in the Management Internship program for the Hillstone Restaurant Group in Boston's Faneuil Hall Senior Danielle Callahan at BU's annual Holiday Reading Program Mo Moran ('13) and associate head coach Mike Leflar at the BU Student-Athlete Awards Banquet
