The women's basketball program puts an emphasis on
playing together on both ends of the court.
Offensively: Transition basketball is BU basketball and the
Terriers share the ball and emphasize taking good early
shots. The team has had three players average double
figures in scoring in each of the last three seasons, and BU
traditionally ranks in the top-25 in the nation in assist-
to-turnover ratio. This season, senior Rashidat Agboola
became the ninth player in as many years to eclipse the
1,000-point mark.
Defensively: In 2011, BU burst onto the national scene
defensively, ranking 23rd in all of Division I, holding
opponents to 54.0 points per game. That success continued
last year and the team moved up the rankings finishing top-
10 in the country in points per game allowed (51.8). The
2013 Terriers also recorded a program-best 154 blocks.
