Student Innovation Lab The Student Innovation Lab is sparking entrepreneurship and serving as a venue for entrepreneurial courses, experiential learning opportunities, speaking engagements and other events. It's also been a magnet for attracting what Jeff Thomas, J.D., School of Business chair, refers to as the "Fab Five" of new entrepreneurship instructors. According to Thomas, "When you combine the lab with the Fab Five and our existing team of professors, you realize that we have something very special brewing here for our students." Several new opportunities have been hatched in the lab, including a CrowdFunding Directed Work Experience. Students also regularly hear from outside speakers, including angel investors and a former Shark Tank contestant who joined the lab via Skype. – read more More than 250 students participated in JWU Olympiad, a new intercampus competition held on September 27–28. JWU Olympiad's goals are to help students establish JWU spirit and pride, create a sense of belonging and community, and have fun. Teams represented every residence hall floor, City View Towers and commuter students. Three of the "Fab Five" entrepreneurs who are teaching in the Student Innovation Lab are (left to right) Tony Mele, Lori Collins and Louis Foreman.
