adidas to give 15 boys the opportunity to train and play at the
heralded Ciudad Real Madrid, the training facility of one of the
worlds greatest clubs.
The program kicked off immediately after landing in Spain
with the boys going to the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu to
watch the Madrid derby between Real Madrid and Athletico
Madrid. The week then consisted of five training sessions at
the Real Madrid complex with Jose, one of the Real Madrid
staff members. The boys got to pit their skills in three matches
against Rayo Vallecano, Real Madrid and Las Rozas. A level of
soccer never previously experienced by any of the boys.
The trip also consisted of tours of the Bernabéu stadium, the
Spanish Football Federation, the historic city of Madrid and
Toledo and watching Real Madrid play in the UEFA Champions
league against FC Copenhagen, a 4-0 win featuring goals from
Cristiano Ronaldo and Angel Di Maria.
