Message Signatures Anderson University Alumni Quarterly Magazine P R E S I D E N T 'S Deborah Lilly BA '90, MTS '11 I n the nearly 100 years since Anderson University began, this campus, our students, and our alumni have President Edwards demonstrated how small steps matter in the journey to create a big picture. Because of donations big and small over the last 96 years, we have expanded everything from the size of the campus to the increase of academic programs to the number of students who study here each year. Whether it was with a one-time gift or gifts made consistently over a lifetime, you have made a difference in the world through Anderson University. How do we encourage, challenge, and guide a class of students to become impactful alumni? Opportunities. These opportunities come in the form of conferences, networking receptions, memberships to professional organizations, and travel across the world. Opportunities are also created when donations of all sizes offset tuition or provide funds for supplies and research projects. Making these opportunities available to students creates better-informed and better-prepared graduates. These opportunities also pique the interest of prospective students and their parents and enlarge our student body. So, we have kicked off a simple campaign called, "It Matters." By visiting our It Matters website, you can see how individual academic departments can further opportunities for AU students. Then, you may choose which program you would like to support. Simple. We thank you for everything you have done and will do in the future to support our students and our mission to educate students for lives of faith and service through their churches and communities.
