Delaware Rush goes all in ere t h e T rails of P On January 1st, 2013, Arkansas Rush hired Peter Smith as the new Director of Coaching. This was an important hire as Peter is from the Central Arkansas region, and will allow for the club to continue its growth in this area. "We are excited to have Peter on board, as he has ties in the Conway/Little Rock area, that allows him to be instrumental to Arkansas Rush pushing forward to be the premier club in Central Arkansas," said Nathan Hunt, President/Director of Operations of Arkansas Rush. The SOE camps are open to any and all players. Beginning in the spring, Arkansas Rush is introducing the School of Excellence, an in-season program. Florida Rush Begins Year with Positive Momentum Colorado Rush is rising in the soccer world with the recent successes in the professional and National Team scenes. Florida Nike teams (Boys 11,15,18, Girls 14) kicked off the year with Disney Presidents Day tournament championships. It's been exciting to see many Florida Rush teams at different levels step up their accomplishments early in the year. Soccer America has ranked Colorado Rush #6 for girls based on team success in national competitions and players called to national camps underscores the club's achievements. Paolo DelPiccolo with Eintracht Frankfurt The spotlight is on Rush women as 18-year-old Lindsey Horan (PSG) recently made her US Women's National Team debut in Portugal's Algarve Cup. The National Women's Soccer League draft landed Kendall Johnson and Brittany Bock with the NY/NJ Sky Blue, and Danielle Foxhoven, who spent 2012 playing in Russia, signed with Portland Thorns FC. The Rush men are striking on the international front as the MLS Super Draft lands Paolo DelPiccolo with the Montreal Impact. However, DelPiccolo has decided to forgo his MLS contract and is now playing overseas with Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany. Jippo FC of Finland signed Baboucarr (Mal) Jammeh after he represented Gambia on the U20 national team. For more information about the Colorado Rush Soccer Club, you can find us online at: www.ColoradoRush.com In February, the club also saw 9 out of their 10 Swoosh teams move out of their brackets to qualify for the challenge round of Florida Region Cup, a tribute to the solid coaching and quality effort at all levels. The U15 Swoosh boys led by Coach Pressler, and the U12 Swoosh boys led by Coach Hugo, continued forward to the final round in the Region Cup. A special early highlight for the Florida Rush was the strong 1st place finish by the U15 Nike boys in the FYSA State Premiere League. The 15 boys, led by Coach Marcos, beat rival Sunrise (ranked 2nd in the nation), in a hard fought 3-2 win. The team was coming off a Disney Showcase win, where they took the runner-up monkey off their back to take home a championship cup.
