UW opens the Louisville Classic
with a game against No. 24 North
Carolina and closes the tournament
against No. 11 Louisville. Wins over
ranked opponents will only strengthen the Badgers' legitimacy, an opportunity that is not lost on head coach
Yvette Healy.
"We are going to face some really
tough opponents," said Healy. "Louisville is going to be excellent on their
home field, being nationally ranked,
North Carolina, too. Every team we
see is going to really be a challenge
for us."
For the Badgers to be successful,
the team will have to come together
and put together a complete game;
offensively, defensively and in the
circle. When they do that, they can
be unstoppable.
Big Ten awards
»Meghan McIntosh and Michelle
Mueller have added their name to
a growing list of Wisconsin Big Ten
weekly award winners. The Badgers have had five different players
win weekly awards this season, the
most in school history.
