front of the elementary school when we arrived,"

At Heritage, the student-athletes went room
to room, reading books to individual classes and
answering students' questions.
"How old are you?" asked one inquisitive first
grader. "Guess!" replied Gilbert and Trotter.
"600?!" the youngster responded.
"The student-athletes' visit to our school had a
huge impact on our kids," said Melissa Lund, who
organized the Badgers' visit to Heritage Elementary. "The kids were in awe of the athletes and just
loved that they could be at the kids' level, reading

kids just thought that was the coolest thing."
The caravan's last stop of the day was Park
Elementary in Cross Plains. There, the studentathletes took turns reading portions of The Cat in
the Hat in front of an all-school assembly.
"It was such a blast," said Allen. "The excitement
and enthusiasm of the kids couldn't help but put a
smile on our faces."
From there to here and here to there,
funny things are everywhere.
