The NCAA National Coordinator of Baseball Umpires from 1996-2008, he is also the Coordinator of Baseball Officiating for the Big West and Western Athletic Conferences. A two-time NCAA Division I College World Series umpire, Dave also worked 23 Division I conference tournaments, 13 NCAA Division I regional tournaments and one super regional. Dave represented the United States internationally for numerous events, including the 1996 Olympic Games, the 1993 and 1999 Intercontinental Cups, and the 1990 World Championships. He was named the 1999 International Baseball Federation Umpire of the Year. He spent time on the staff of the Big 12, Metro, Missouri Valley, Mountain West, Southeastern, Pac-12, Western Athletic, and West Coast Conferences before moving into a strictly administrative role following the 2015 season. In 2005 the American Baseball Coaches Association recognized Dave with their Meritorious Service Award and in 2011 Dave was inducted into the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame. Yeast and his wife Carla reside in Park City, UT and have two daughters, Lara and Mimi, and a son, Zackary.
