A R I Z O N A 2 0 1 9 P A C - 1 2 B A S E B A L L M E D I A G U I D E 10 Jay Johnson DI Career Record: 193-109 (5 years) Record at Arizona: 121-67 (3 years) •Replaced legendary Wildcat coach Andy Lopez in 2015 and went on to become the first head coach in school history to lead his team to the NCAA Tournament in each of his first two seasons (2016 CWS Runner-Up, 2017 NCAA Regional). • Since Johnson's arrival, Arizona has produced 13 All-Pac-12 first-team selections, six All-Americans and 20 MLB draft picks, including a program- record six players drafted in the first 10 rounds of the 2018 MLB Draft. • In his first season at the helm, led Arizona to 49 wins, the second-most in school history and an appearance in the NCAA College World Series Championship Series. • Became the fifth coach ever and first since 1994 to lead a team to the CWS Championship in his first year at that school. • 2016 ABCA West Region Coach of the Year. • Prior to joining the Wildcats, led Nevada to a 72-42 record in two seasons and was the 2015 Mountain West Coach of the Year.
