Furman Women's Tennis 2012-13 2011-12 in Review 2012 Dual Match Results 14-10 Overall, 8-2 SoCon 6-3 Home, 5-6 Away, 3-1 Neutral Paladin Reach SoCon Semifinals The 2012 Furman women's tennis team reached the semifinals of the SoCon Tournament after finishing third in the league during regular season play. The Paladins defeated Appalachian State, 4-0, in the first round of the tournament then fell to eventual tournament champion College of Charleston, 5-0, in the semifinals of the tournament. All-Conference Honorees Two Paladins earned all-conference recognition for their performances in 2012. Junior Lauren Kline and sophomore Amanda Murray garnered second-team All-Southern Conference honors for singles. Rookie Alex Moreno-Kaste earned a spot on the SoCon All-Freshman team. Academic Honors Eight Paladins were honored for their excellence in the classroom in 2012-13 as well. Susan Bitetti, Margaret Boyette, Kelsey Kinderknecht, Lauren Kline, Olivia Maurice, Amanda Murray, Katherine Oudin, and Kelly Sullivan were named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll, while Bitetti, Boyette, Kinderknecht, Murray, and Oudin were also chosen to the ITA All-Academic Team. Boyette, Kline, Murray, and Oudin were additionally honored as members of the SoCon Academic All-Conference Team. The Paladin team was honored as an ITA All-Academic Team.
