Wurtz counting down to 1,000 » Senior Taylor Wurtz needs only 27 points to hit the 1,000-point mark for her career. The 6-0 guard will become the 22nd Badger to earn 1,000 points in a career.

t might not seem like much that the Badgers are off to a 2-1 start, but considering that two of those games have been on the road, a winning record is a big accomplishment for the rebuilding Badgers. The 5-foot-7 guard has had at least four steals in all three games this sea- son, including a career-best eight takeaways against Milwaukee. The Badgers are averaging 10.3 steals per game, which ranks third in the Big Ten. Wisconsin recorded 11 steals against Milwaukee and Washington State, while taking the ball away nine times against Gon- zaga.
