2018 VHSL GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIPS 48 V I R G I N I A H I G H S C H O O L L E A G U E Virginia High School Hall of Fame Class of 2017 Nothing but the best The 28th Virginia High School Hall of Fame Class featured 11 inductees S even individuals who have made outstanding contribu6ons to high school athle6c and ac6vity programs have been selected to the 2018 Virginia High School Hall of Fame. The Class of 2017 includes six athletes (Blair Brown – Loudoun Valley, Allen Pinke7 – Park View‐Sterling, Bryan Randall – Bruton, Michael Robinson – Varina, Ka6e Smrcka‐Duffy – James Madison, Alan Webb – South Lakes), two coaches (Amy Reed – Gate City, Norbie Wilson – First Colonial), and three contributors (Francis Dall – Lake Braddock/Wes5ield, Ken Tilley – VHSL, Deb Tyson ‐ Albe‐ marle). Sponsored jointly by the Virginia High School League Hall is dedicated to pre‐ serving the rich heritage of outstanding achievements by students and adults in sports and ac6vi6es within Virginia's public high schools. Athletes are eligible for considera6on 10 years a&er comple6on of their high school careers and are judged primarily for their achievements in interscholas6c sports. Coaches are eligible a&er 15 years of experience or upon re6rement and are judged on the merits of their achievements at the high school level. Con‐ tributors are professionals who have rendered significant services in some other capacity such as administra6on, academic ac6vi6es, officia6ng, media or sports medicine. Nomina6ons are due Oct. 31 of each year for considera6on for the following year. Athletes and coaches are screened by a commi7ee from the Virginia High School Coaches Associa6on and contributors by a commi7ee from VHSL. Final se‐ lec6ons are made by a joint commi7ee.
