he Badgers flipped the script last weekend in their road series at Min- nesota Duluth, skating to a win and a tie to open WCHA play.
After surrendering late rallies two weekends ago to Northern Michigan, Wiscon- sin bounced back following a bye week and earned its first win of the season and a tie last weekend. Joel Rumpel earned his fourth career shutout and the Badgers blanked the Bulldogs 2-0 Friday, then rallied with a two-goal third period Saturday to steal a tie and return home with three

ited the team's bye week for the turnaround, saying it al- lowed for "another week of practice, of repitions, of get- ting in better game shape." "Saturday night really in particular was a fun game," Eaves said. "It was such a hostile environment and seeing our guys rise to the occasion, being down, and playing our best third period of the season to date...it al- most felt like a win."
