Family Day

The UVA Medical Alumni Association welcomed SMD '20 students and their family members at the
2016 Family Day. Activities included presentations by the college deans, remarks by Dean David S.
Wilkes, MD, a team-based learning exercise led by Mary-Kate Worden, PhD, and tours of the Claude
Moore Medical Education Building, including the Simulation Center. The UVA School of Medicine's
acapella group, The Arrythmics, performed and students from SMD' 17, '18 and '19 and MSTP students
shared their perspectives on a student life panel.

Bowman Weekend

More than 50 people attended the Annual
Bowman Dinner, held at Farmington Country
Club. Five Bowman Scholars were honored
at the dinner and then interviewed by the
committee at the UVA Medical Alumni
Association's office the following morning.
Lee Eschenroeder was named this year's
honoree of the Bowman Scholarship.
