For the second time in as many years, volleyball's Stephenee Yancy was named the 2015 Horizon League Player of the Year. She was a dominant force as she led the Horizon League in both kills per set and attaching percentage for the second consecutive season. She ranked fourth in the NCAA in both total kills and points. Yancy, who was also named to the AVCA All-North Region Team, registered double-digit kills in 27 of 31 matches as a senior, and 20-or-more 12 times. She concluded her outstanding UIC career with 1,056 kills and the best hitting percentage in program history, .365. Jake Dahlberg became UIC's fifth all-time conference Pitcher of the Year honoree as he also placed on the All-League First Team during his sophomore season in 2015. He compiled an 8-2, including a 6-1 conference mark, and maintained the best ERA among UIC starters with a 3.31 average, 2.81 HL. He showed tremendous dura- bility as he led the conference in innings pitched (106.0) and was one of a mere 41 players in the nation to tally four or more complete games. He struck out a team-high 66 and held opponents to a .232 batting average. During conference play, he allowed three or less earned runs in nine of his ten starts.
