USC, WASHINGTON CROWNED CO-CHAMPIONS For the fourth time in Pac-12 history, co-champions were crowned with USC and WASHINGTON claiming a share of the regular-season title. Seven Conference teams earned NCAA Tournament berths, marking the the 16th-consecutive season at least six Conference teams earned postseason bids. The Trojans garnered the No. 1 overall seed for the third time in the history of the tournament. Both the Huskies and Trojans advanced the regional finals. Four of the seven NCAA Tournament teams were seeded in 2015. In addition to USC receiving the top seed, UW was No. 5, STANFORD was No. 8 and UCLA was No. 14. The Cardinal is one of only two teams in the country to earn a bid to all 35 NCAA Tournaments. ARIZONA, ARIZONA STATE and OREGON also recieved bids. Four teams ended the season in the final AVCA poll, USC and Washington ranking fourth and fifth, respectively, the Bruins were 12th and the Cardinal was 14th. Eight Pac-12 players were named to AVCA All-America teams. It was the 14th-consecutive year that the Pac-12 has had at least eight student-athletes on AVCA All-America teams. Another seven received honorable mention status. An impressive 21 players were named to the AVCA All-Region teams, with 13 on the All-Pacific North Region squad and eight on the All-Pacific South team. UW's Keegan Cook was selected the North's Coach of the Year, while USC's Mick Haley was tabbed the South's Coach of the Year. Stanford's Hayley Hodson (North) and USC's Baylee Johnson (South) were named their respective region's freshman of the year. USC's Samantha Bricio was the nation's top player, earning AVCA National Player of the Year, as well as espnW National Player of the Year, adding to that the Conference's Player of the Year honor. Hodson was the AVCA's top freshman in the country, following Pac-12 Freshman of the Year nods. USC's Haley garnered national and Conference recognitions, earning the Coach of the Year honors at both the national and league level.
