This media guide was intended to assist in the media's coverage of Pac-12 men's basketball. Statistical information, standings and news releases for all men's and women's sports are updated frequently. News releases for each sport are provided in PDF format and viewable HTML pages. Media guides, archived press releases and record books, as well as selected video can also be found on the Official Pac-12 website. The Pac-12 can also be found on social network- ing sites Facebook and Twitter for instant updates. To "like" the Pac-12, visit www.facebook.com/Pac- 12Conference. Media should send an email to scollins@ pac-12.org with the subject "Media News" request- ing to be added to the media distribution list. » WEEKLY RELEASES Pac-12 Weekly Releases will be available at the Conference's official website at www.pac-12.com every Monday afternoon starting Nov. 11 and con- tinuing through to the end of the season. Weekly releases include the Pac-12 Players of the Week, updated Conference statistics, the latest polls and conference and team notes. Updated stats will be available on www.pac-12.com following each night of competition. » PLAYERS OF THE WEEK A Pac-12 Player of the Week is selected through- out the regular season from nominations submitted by each school's media relations office. Player of the Week winners are selected by a vote of media who cover Pac-12 men's basketball on a regular basis. Winners of the weekly honor are announced on Monday mornings via news release and also posted on the Pac-12 website, on the Pac-12 Face- book fan page and via the Pac-12 Twitter feed. » PAC-12 CHAMPION All 12 Pac-12 institutions participate in the Pac- 12 Tournament at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas with the winner receiving the Confer- ence's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Championship. The team that fin- ishes the season atop the Pac-12 standings, based on a 18-game league schedule, is crowned the Conference Champion. The bracket of the Pac-12 men's tournament will be seeded according to the final standings with the regular-season champion earning the top seed. » PAC-12 AWARDS & HONORS The Pac-12 names a 10-player All-Pac-12 first team, a five-player All-Pac-12 second team, a five- player All-Freshman team, a five-player All-Defen- sive team, Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player of the Year and Coach of the Year. The award win- ners are nominated and voted upon by the Pac-12 head coaches. The honorees will be announced during the week of the Conference Tournament. Academic All-Pac-12 teams and the Scholar-Ath- lete of the Year are also named for men's basket- ball. » TELECONFERENCES The Pac-12 Conference Communications Staff will conduct a men's basketball coaches' telecon- ferences prior to the start of Pac-12 Conference play on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 and tenta- tively Tuesday, February 9, 2016. Each head coach will be available for eight minutes on the call. Con- tact the Pac-12 Communications Office for the tele- conference number and schedule. » PAC-12 TOURNAMENT MEDIA INFORMATION The 2016 Pac-12 Men's Basketball Tournament will be played March 9-12, 2016 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Media credential ap- plications for the Pac-12 Tournament will be made available online in February 2016. Credentials will not be mailed out in advance. For further infor- mation concerning media coverage of the 2016 Pac-12 Tournament, please contact the Pac-12 Communications Office.
