The Nashville Predators — and former Badgers Ryan Suter and Craig Smith — are on the verge of eliminating the Detroit Red Wings in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs. With a 3-1 series lead heading into Friday's game, the Predators are looking to advance to the conference semifinals for the second time in team history.

Wisconsin has put in three weeks of practice, getting new assistant coaches and players acclimated with each other. Wrestling their way to London Six wrestlers with UW ties, including three redshirts, are vying for a spot on the U.S. Olympic team.
