154 2015 PAC-12 FOOTBALL MEDIA GUIDE // PAC-12 CONFERENCE PAC-12 CONFERENCE ANNA ROBERTS • Senior Director, Human Resources Anna Roberts joined the Pac-12 in September 2011 as the Director of Human Resources and is responsible for all aspects of the Pac-12 people strategy including talent management, staf!ng, employee relations, compensation and performance management. Prior to joining the Conference of!ce, Roberts was at Support.com, a mid-sized technology company, where she oversaw the human resources function. In addition, she worked several years in the human resource !eld in various environments, including several years with Adeco Group. Roberts graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. HEATHER VAUGHAN • Vice President, Marketing Vaughan joined the Pac-12 in June 2010 as the Conference's !rst Senior Director, Marketing. In June 2015, she added marketing duties for the Pac-12 Networks, which includes creative services, Network promotions and marketing. Her duties include enhancing the overall marketing and staging of all Pac-12 Championships and events, serving as the creative lead for the Conference and working with the marketing team to develop and execute strategic marketing plans. Prior to joining the Conference, Vaughan worked for the Maloof Sports & Entertainment team for nine years, overseeing the creative services department. She was responsible for the marketing, branding and creative materials to support the NBA's Sacramento Kings, the WNBA's Sacramento Monarchs and ARCO arena. She also worked for several advertising agencies in the Los Angeles area. A San Diego, Calif., native, Vaughan graduated from California State University Chico with a bachelor's degree in communication de- sign. She also holds a master's degree in communications from California State University, Fullerton. TAYLOR LIEN • Director, Business Operations Taylor Lien joined the Pac-12 in July 2009 as a strategy intern, identifying and analyzing growth opportunities and assisting in the devel- opment of a strategic roadmap for the Conference. In December 2009, he was promoted to Manager, Business Development. Lien was promoted in June 2012 to Director, Business Operations, where he oversees the research and analytics for the Pac-12's new initiatives. He is also responsible for the business strategy, revenue and contractual aspects of the Conference's major championship events, acts as a liaison between the Conference of!ce and Pac-12 Enterprises, and is part of the team developing the Pac-12's interna- tional initiative, with a focus on China. Lien is a 2009 graduate of the University of California, Berkeley with a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Haas School of Business. CHRIS GRANT • Associate Commissioner, Sports Management & Championships Chris Grant was named Associate Commissioner of Sports Management and Championships of the Pac-12 in June 2015. He serves as the Conference liaison for volleyball, baseball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's rowing and beach volleyball. Grant is also the Tournament Director for the Pac-12 Women's Basketball Championship. Before joining the Pac-12, Grant spent three years as the Director of Sports Services at Conference USA. In that role, Grant has also played a vital role in the realignment of C-USA. He has assisted with Football Bowl Game coverage, regular season scheduling for football, men's basketball, men's and women's soccer and also served as a liaison on the C-USA Student-Athlete Health & Safety subcommittee. A 2004 graduate of Kentucky State with a bachelor's degree in public administration, Grant was a free safety for the Thorobreds football team. He earned a master's degree in public administration, with a concentration in !nance, from Southern in 2006. ERIK PRICE • Associate Commissioner, Compliance Erik Price joined the Pac-12 Conference in October 2002 after spending seven years in the Of!ce of the Faculty Athletics Representative at the University of California, serving as Senior Administrative Analyst (1994-2000). Promoted to Associate Commissioner in July of 2013, he is primarily responsible for the Conference's compliance program, which includes rules education, and monitoring and interpreting NCAA and Conference rules for all Conference members. Assistant Commissioner in February of 2006, his responsibilities include assisting the Compliance and Enforcement staff in monitoring and applying NCAA and Conference legislation. He coordinates the Pac-12 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). A native of Berkeley, Calif., he is a 1989 graduate of Columbia University with a degree in economics and received a master's degree in journalism from the University of California in 1991. He and his wife Paula are the parents of two children, Sasha and Ben. TAMMY NEWMAN • Associate Commissioner, Governance & Enforcement Tammy Newman joined the Pac-12 Conference in 1989. Promoted to Associate Commissioner, Governance in July 2013, her responsi- bilities include directing the NCAA and Pac-12 governance processes for the Conference of!ce and institutional members. Additionally, she serves as the staff liaison to the Council, DLIR, Legislative and Nominating Committees. She also oversees the Conference VIP hospitality programs. Newman has a bachelor of arts degree from Saint Mary's College of California. A Bay Area native, she is married to Dennis Willing.
