Q: I am redecorating our home to be reminiscent of the 1700s. I was thinking of using the gold family. Can you give any suggestions? A: The Williamsburg® Collection offers some beautiful historic gold tones. You might like Wythe House Gold Medium (CW310) for the wall color and Bracken Cream Medium Light (CW707) for the trim. Q: I would like to paint my dining room. However, I am not sure whether I can paint right over my walls or if I need to prime first. What should I do? A: Priming will reduce the number of coats you need to cover your walls, which will generally save you time, energy and money. Additionally, it will keep the underlying color from showing through and altering your intended color. Primer is absolutely necessary when the surface you are painting is not totally flat. Cracks, holes or depressions need to be sealed correctly so that the paint can set properly. Porous materials, such as wood, drywall and concrete can be coated with Accolade® Self-Priming to save time and effort while achieving beautiful results. Q: My family and I are very into "green" living. We would like to paint our living room, but want to use something earth friendly. With all the different products out there, it can be hard to narrow down what to choose! A: Pratt & Lambert has a complete line of Zero and Low VOC products. Check out Porcelain™ and RedSeal® Zero VOC. 30 P&L Color Expressions
