’’ BADGERS Ask The
Question of the Week:
How did you spend your summer?
PATRICK BUTRYM • SENIOR • FOOTBALL
“I had an eight-week internship at Merrill Lynch as an intern for a portfolio man- ager in their global wealth management department. I’m an economics major so I got to apply some of what I learned on the job, and some of what I learned in school I found was actually applicable to what I want to do when I’m older, which is nice to find out.”
MICHELLE MUELLER • SOPHOMORE • SOFTBALL
“I spent a week in North Carolina watching my brother compete at the Division II College World Series and got to see him get drafted by the Atlanta Braves! I also played softball on a 19-and-older league competing against numerous ‘older’ women and against some college players as well.”
MIKE BRUESEWITZ • JUNIOR • MEN’S BASKETBALL
“I took a lot of naps this summer, sandwiched around my directed study and work- outs. I got in the gym a lot with my teammates and got a ton of shots up. I also had the chance to play in a basketball tournament in Estonia where I faced a few NBA players and guys that have been playing professionally for years.”
HILARY KNIGHT • SENIOR • WOMEN’S HOCKEY
“I made a trip back to my hometown of Sun Valley, Idaho, and it was amazing! Whenever I get a chance to return home and hang out with family and friends I gladly take it. I also had a U.S. National Team camp in June in Colorado Springs, Colo., and fellow Badger Madison Packer and I organized a team to compete in the Beantown Classic hockey tournament in Boston.”
