VETTER VICTORIOUS AGAIN
MARCH 22, 2009: The women's hockey team won its third national championship
in t four years by shutting out Mercyhurst 5-0. Senior goalie Jessie Vetter finished her
career with an NCAA-record four Frozen Four shutouts — two in semifinals and two
in championship games.
TWICE IS NICE
MARCH 26, 2012: Senior G Jordan Taylor earned All-America honorable mention
and became just the second Wisconsin player to earn multiple All-America honors
since the AP began selecting All-Americans in 1948, joining Michael Finley (1993-95).
GRAPPLING WITH GRAFF
MARCH 23, 2013: Tyler Graff claimed third place at 133 lbs., at the 2013 NCAA Wres-
tling Championships, defeating Edinboro's A.J. Schopp, 6-3. The bronze medal made
Graff the ninth three-time All-American in Badgers history.
FINAL STATEMENT
MARCH 23, 2013: A 3-2 victory over Colorado College at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul,
Minn., gave the men's hockey team its 12th playoff title in its final season in the WCHA. Win-
ning the Broadmoor Trophy also got the Badgers the league's automatic berth into the NCAA
tournament and capped a stretch that saw UW go 21-5-5 since Nov. 30.
