MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
The Wisconsin men's cross country team has finished in the top 10 at the NCAA
championships in each of the past 17 seasons. The Badgers look to keep the
streak alive this year as they are ranked No. 7 in the preseason U.S. Track & Field and
Cross Country Coaches Association National Coaches' Poll released on Tuesday.

Cara Walls tallied a pair of first-half
goals, including the game-winning
score, in UW's 4-1 win at Illinois
State on Sunday. Both goals came
in the first 10 minutes following
the opening kickoff and were
separated by just 3:42.
Wisconsin has won its season opener every year since 1998, a
run of 15 consecutive victories that is tied with USC for the
third-longest active streak in the Football Bowl Subdivision,
trailing only Nebraska (27) and Florida (23).
