Post-Season Success Mike Taylor celebrates the football team's third-straight Big Ten championship after a 70-31 win over Nebraska in the title game. three games in three days to claim its first-ever Big Ten • Men's hockey won five straight playoff games to claim the 2013 Broadmoor Cup as WCHA Final Five champions; • Men's basketball reached its 15th-consecutive NCAA tournament, defeating seven top-15 teams on the year; • Men's cross country kept its streak alive, winning a record 14th-straight conference title and finishing second at the NCAA championship; • Football took home its third-consecutive Big Ten title for the first time in school history and made its ninth appearance in the Rose Bowl; • Softball won its first Big Ten tournament title before reaching its first-ever NCAA regional championship game; • Men's rowing placed 10th at the IRA national championships; • Women's openweight rowing garnered its sixthconsecutive NCAA bid, finishing 16th at the national championships; • Women's lightweight rowing finished in the top four at the IRA national championships for the 14th-straight season, claiming third place; • Women's soccer was selected for the 2012 NCAA Tournament, the team's third appearance in four seasons; • Men's swimming and diving placed 15th at the NCAA championships, its best finish since 2003, as Drew teDuits earned UW's first individual national title since 1959; • Women's swimming and diving placed 15th at the NCAA championships, its sixth-straight top-15 finish; • Women's golf qualified for the NCAA championships for just the second time in school history; • Men's track and field placed third at the NCAA indoor championships after winning the Big Ten title. Combined with the outdoor and cross country results, UW finished second in the national program of the year standings; • Women's track and field tied for 46th at the NCAA indoor championships and took home seventh place at the Big Ten outdoor championships; • Wrestling tied for 27th at the NCAA championships as Tyler Graff took third place.
