"We are looking for consistency over time," said Sheffield.

what it's going to take for us to

BADGERS RECEIVE VOTES
● For the first time since the 2011 season, the Badgers received votes in the
American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll. The Badgers received
17 points (37th) in the preseason poll
released Monday.
In 2013, UW plays 12 teams that
are ranked or received votes in the
preseason poll. The Badgers take on
No. 2 Penn State, No. 6 Minnesota, No.
7 Michigan, No. 10 Nebraska, No. 14
Michigan State, No. 16 Purdue, No. 19
Louisville, No. 20 Kansas, and No. 23
Ohio State as well as three teams that
received votes ― Pepperdine, Northern Iowa and Illinois.
FRESHMAN CLASS RANKED FOURTH
● Wisconsin is bringing in one of the top
recruiting classes in the nation as its
2013 group is ranked fourth in PrepVolleyball.com's annual rating. It is
the highest-ranked Badgers class since
the website began its listing in 2003.
The Badgers add five newcomers
in 2013, including Lauren Carlini, the
2012 Gatorade National Player of the
Year. Other freshmen are Taylor Fricano, Tori Blake and Haleigh Nelson.
Sophomore Taylor Morey also joins
the UW after transferring from Notre
Dame.
