We're pleased to present the 2023 Environment Report, a publication
dedicated to Alpine Bank's continuous eorts in improving our
environmental practices.
I'm hopeful that you've heard by now that 2023 was a special year for
the bank. We celebrated two major milestones as we turned 50 years
young, and our Green Team celebrated its 20-year anniversary.
So, what better way to celebrate these milestones than to give back to
our communities with a major initiative called 50 Years of Philanthropy?
As part of the initiative, each Alpine Bank employee directed a one-time
charitable gift of $500 to support an eligible Colorado nonprot
organization.
More than 70 employees donated $36,000 to 39 environmental-based
nonprots in Colorado. This was such a tting tribute to our Green
Team and their two decades of conservation education, outreach, and
action.
These gifts were made on top of another remarkable year for the Alpine
Bank ENVIRONMENT Loyalty Debit Card. Since the card was created in
2004, it has funded over $3 million in environmental causes. In 2022
alone, Alpine Bank donated $381,000 through this special card.
As you'll read in the coming pages, sustainability is such an important
part of the Alpine Bank story. We hope you'll enjoy this year's
publication as we are so humbled and proud to be environmental
stewards for our communities.
