2 Independence, Integrity, Community, Compassion and Loyalty. In reading through this booklet, I am struck by the remarkable commitment each of our employees has made to these values. Since our founding in 1973, Alpine Bank remains steadfast in our resolve to uphold this culture and pay it forward to our employees, customers, communities and shareholders. We learned many years ago that the success of our bank is a reflection of the well-being of the communities we serve. We are proud of the relationships we have forged in our service areas and know that to continue to be the bank of choice in our communities we must be constantly on the lookout for employees who share our values. The vast majority of our original organizers and employees have stayed the course with us over the past 50 years, and they, along with the addition of new hires, will ensure our continued success. If you are new to Alpine Bank, welcome to our team! If you are among the many loyal investors, board members or employees who have shared in our success over the years, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Bob Young | Glenwood Springs Chairman Employee Owner since 1973 VALUES Independence Remaining an employee-owned company Community Giving support to the communities we live and work in is vital to our business growth; allowing us to enhance our personal opportunities and lifestyle Compassion Showing concern, respect for cultural, racial, religious needs, actively demonstrating attentive listening skills, and knowing our customers by calling them by their names Integrity Always doing what you say you will do and standing up for what you believe in, supported with ethics and morality Loyalty Doing the right thing for others and our communities even when it's not convenient or bottom-line driven These are the values of Alpine Bank. We asked our employees, "Which of these values do you relate to?" Here are their replies...
