WOMEN'S ROWING
Wisconsin rowing has eight of its former and current rowers representing the United States this summer at world championships
and world under-23 championships, including 2013 graduate and
coxswain Kendall Schmidt and current Badger Anne Rauschert.
The duo won gold in the women's eight at the U23 championships
earlier this summer in Austria.

MEN'S TRACK & FIELD
Former Badger Evan Jager's 3000 steeplechase time of 8:08.60 ranks eighth
in the world this year heading into
the 2013 IAAF World Championships,
which begin this weekend in Moscow. The two-time U.S. steeplechase
champion set the American record of
8:06.81 last season in only his fifth race
ever in the event. This marks the third
time Jager has represented the U.S. at a
world championship meet since leaving UW
following the 2008 season.
FOOTBALL
Wisconsin is one of just three teams
(Buffalo and USC are the others) to return
a running back with 2,000-plus career
rushing yards and a wide receiver
with 2,000-plus career receiving yards.
Senior RB James White is nation's No. 2
returning rusher among running backs
with 2,571 career rushing yards. Senior
WR Jared Abbrederis, who leads all active
FBS receivers with an average of 16.6
yards per reception for his career, has
amassed 2,059 receiving yards in his
first three seasons.

WOMEN'S SWIMMING
Junior Ivy Martin posted an impressive win in the 50-meter freestyle at
the 2013 U.S. Open in Irvine, Calif.,
over the weekend. Martin's winning
time of 25.11 ranks her as the eighthfastest American in the event and
stands 31st in the world this year.
