INDEPENDENCE Remaining an employee-owned company 4 Our Independence as an organization is what allows us to successfully achieve our other values year after year. "It is the business of the very few to be independent; it is a privilege of the strong." – Nietzsche Jason Hensel | Grand Junction | EB Vice President Employee Owner since 2015 Independence could be viewed as a value that is a result of living the other four values. If we conduct ourselves with Integrity, support and grow our Communities, treat people with Compassion and Loyalty, superior performance will be the result, solidifying the foundation of our sustainable Independence. The values individually and collectively are key to our success. Andrew Karow | Glenwood Springs | Chief Digital Officer Employee Owner since 1997 I like that Alpine Bank is Independent. It allows us as shareholders to invest in our other values: Compassion, Loyalty, Community and Integrity. It makes Alpine Bank who we are today. Julie Allmon | Rifle | Executive Vice President – Retail Deposit Operations Manager Employee Owner since 1987 Through our Independence as an employee-owned company we have committed to improving the lives of our customers, employees and communities. Tyler Dahl | Mesa County | Regional President Employee Owner since 2007 I would have to say Independence rides the fine line between the rest of the values that I can relate to. It gives us the ability to be what we need to be for our customers. Whether we are in a big city or a little town, our customer service is what sets us apart from everyone else. Our Independence is what gives us the ability to give them the service they need and deserve. DeAnna Delgman | West Glenwood | Trainer Employee Owner since 1998 Independence allows us the opportunity to prioritize our other values. It also allows all of us to be employee owners and share in the success we're working to create for ourselves, our shareholders and our communities. Gena Cooper | Delta | Senior Vice President Human Resources Employee Owner since 2000 Independence. Without Independence, we could not have the other four values! Tom Kenning | Glenwood Springs | Chief Administration Officer Employee Owner since 1995 Independence. Independence is the glue for all other values. Leo Florez | Durango | Personal Banking Representative I Employee Owner since 2021 Independence – Having the autonomy, confidence and boldness to freely put your values into action. I believe if you can do this, you can achieve anything you put your mind to. Susana Salamun | Denver | VP Community Inclusion & Engagement Employee Owner since 2013
