Tom Brands became the fifth University of Iowa wrestler to be a three-
time NCAA Champion in 1992 at 134 pounds. Brands won titles in 1990,
1991 and 1992. During the 2021 season, Spencer Lee joined the three-
time club, as he became the eighth Hawkeye to become a three-time
NCAA Champion. Lee is the first Iowa wrestler to achieve the feat since
Joe Williams (1996-98).
