It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2013 Pac-12 Mens Basketball Tournament. This year we are especially delighted to culminate a fantastic season of Pac-12 basketball at our new tournament home under the bright lights of Las Vegas. Hosting big events is part of the DNA of Las Vegas and we are excited to give fans a chance to cheer on their teams in such a magnetic and energetic city. For the first time in its history, the 2013 Pac-12 Mens Basketball Tournament will be played at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Our new home promises to create a dynamic and exciting atmosphere for our student-athletes. The Pac-12 has earned its preeminent position as the Conference of Champions through the overwhelming success of our student-athletes and they deserve to have the most memorable experience at the Pac-12 Tournament. This years tournament will feature 11 games over four action-packed days as the Pac-12s best vie for the 2013 title and an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. Thanks to our new media rights agreement, every tournament game this year will be nationally televised live. Pac-12 Networks will televise the first round, three of four quarterfinals and one semifinal. ESPNU and ESPN will televise the remaining quarterfinal and semifinal, as well as the championship game. The Conference would like to extend thanks to Las Vegas Events and the city of Las Vegas, who have been great partners and welcomed our teams and fans so enthusiastically. We would also like to thank the MGM for helping us make this inaugural tournament such a success. We are also grateful for the continued support of our corporate partners who help make this an extraordinary event year after year. Finally, we thank you for your support and for helping create an atmosphere conducive to family attendance and fair play. We ask that you please be respectful of every team and to your fellow spectators. It is time for our talented student-athletes to take the court and provide the exciting moments over the next four days that competitive tournament basketball always delivers. Enjoy the Tournament. Good luck to all the teams. Sincerely, Larry Scott Pac-12 Commissioner
