It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2013 Pac-12 Womens Basketball Tournament. This year we are especially delighted to culminate a fantastic season of Pac-12 basketball at our new tournament home at KeyArena in Seattle. The city of Seattle is a great supporter of womens basketball and we are thrilled to tap into the local enthusiasm and introduce fans to our exciting brand of Pac-12 basketball. For those joining us from outside of the city, we are confident you will enjoy your visit. Our new home also promises to create a dynamic and exciting atmosphere for our student-athletes. The Pac-12 has earned its preeminent position as the Conference of Champions through the overwhelming success of our studentathletes and they deserve to have the most memorable experience at the Pac-12 Tournament. This years tournament will feature 11 games over four action-packed days as the Pac-12s best vie for the 2013 tournament title and an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament. For the first time in history, every tournament game will be televised live nationally. Pac-12 Networks will televise the first round, quarterfinals and semifinals games, and ESPN2 will televise the Championship game. The Conference would like to extend thanks to the city of Seattle and our partners at Force 10 Sports Marketing, Seattle Center, and the Seattle Sports Commission for welcoming our teams and fans, and helping this tournament be such a success. We are also grateful for the continued support of our corporate partners who help make this an extraordinary event year after year. Finally, we thank you for your support, and for helping create an atmosphere conducive to family attendance and fair play. We ask that you please be respectful of every team and to your fellow spectators. It is time for our talented student-athletes to take the court and provide the exciting moments over the next four days that competitive tournament basketball always delivers. Enjoy the Tournament. Good luck to all the teams. Sincerely, Larry Scott Pac-12 Commissioner
