The University of Iowa rowing team ended a 16-year NCAA Championships drought,
qualifying for the 2017 championships in New Jersey. The Hawkeyes are now
streaking, as they have qualified for the NCAA Championships in three straight
seasons from 2017-19. The program's IV8 boat placed ninth nationally in 2019, the
highest finish in school history; the team placed 13th overall.
