It was 22 years ago when the University of Iowa football program had two first-
round selections in the National Football League Draft. Defensive back Tom Knight
(pictured) was chosen with the ninth pick by the Arizona Cardinals and offensive
lineman Ross Verba was taken with the 30th pick by the Green Bay Packers.
At the 2019 NFL Draft, the Hawkeyes had two first-round tight ends. T.J. Hockenson
was selected with the eighth pick by the Detroit Lions and Noah Fant was selected
20th by the Denver Broncos.
