Wisconsin defeated Stanford, 17-9, to win its second-consecutive Rose Bowl, becoming the
first team in Big Ten history to do so. Ron Dayne capped his collegiate career by rushing for
200 yards and earning his second-consecutive Rose Bowl MVP award.

during the Alvarez era with a 31-28 overtime victory over 14th-ranked Colorado at
the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio.

when Michael Flowers made a 3-pointer with 2.7 seconds remaining and then stole
the Longhorns��� in-bounds pass to secure a 67-66 win over No. 9 Texas.
