returning rebounder, finishing fifth overall a year ago.
The 6-foot-6 forward has
spent three years hitting the
boards with reckless abandon, and its now clear that
he hits the books with the
same intensity.

to finish in four years to be able to do
that, Evans said after earning his undergraduate degree in August. I cant
say it was easy, but it was worth the
long hours and late nights.
Evans admits the rigors of grad
school have resulted in some adjustments, including shifts in his sleeping habits, but he does not regret
taking on the heavy task of attending
three-hour classes throughout the
course of a week while playing a major Division I sport.
Earning a graduate degree has
always been something thats important to me, Evans added. Having the opportunity to attend grad
school is a huge step in anyones life,
but to earn it at a university with this
kind of academic reputation really
puts me in great position to succeed
whenever Im done playing.

UW has faced all three in-state Division I foes every season under Bo
Ryan, compiling a 28-7 record.
