Honorable Name Change
This past March, North Avenue Hall was renamed
Lucero Hall — in recognition of a lifetime of advocacy
and service to the Grand Junction community and
CMU by Levi and Bernie Luecro.
In addition to their civic work, including helping
form the Grand Junction Housing Authority and
active participation in the Grand Junction Planning
Commission, Levi and Bernice have been long-
time supporters of the university. CMU is proud to
recognize two pillars of our community and their
significant contributions to the Grand Valley by
changing the name of North Avenue Hall to Lucero
Hall in their honor.
Levi and Bernie Lucero are joined by family and friends at the renaming ceremony.
