Since 1971, Liberty University has grown from a small Bible college to a major
university of academic excellence, world-class facilities, NCAA Division I
athletics, and a host of student activities—all provided within a distinctively
Christian environment.
Throughout our courageous history, our uncompromising mission and unique
character have remained the same; today Liberty is poised to carry out its
mission in unparalleled ways.
We continue to expand our world-class facilities and enrich student life
opportunities, while maintaining an unwavering dedication to inspiring
Christian commitment, faith in action, and community service among our
students, faculty, and staff.
Liberty University has been Training Champions for Christ since 1971 and we will
continue fervently in that mission, identifying the most prized champion traits
and seeking to instill those values within our students.
Champions stand for what is true.
Champions pursue excellence in all they do.
And above all, Champions keep christ first.
