Wisconsin clinched its first Rose Bowl berth in 31 years with a 41-20 win over Michigan State in Tokyo, Japan, at the Coca-Cola Classic. RB Brent Moss carried for 149 yards and two touchdowns, while Darrell Bevel went 14-for-19 and threw a TD pass in the win.
December 2, 1985 IN THE GROOVE: In a non-conference matchup with San Francisco State, senior Rick Olson made 17 field goals in a 90-61 victory for the men's basketball team. Ol- son's 17 field goals topped the previous record of 16 set nearly 27 years earlier and was unmatched until Michael Finley tied the mark in December of 1994.

December 3, 2011 FIRST TIME: The football team defeated Michigan State, 42-39, in the inaugural Big Ten Football Championship Game to clinch a spot in the Rose Bowl for the second- consecutive season. Russell Wilson threw three touchdown passes and set an NCAA record by throwing for a score in 37 games in a row.
December 5, 1982 LONG HUNDRED: The women's basketball team scored the most points in a single game in school history with a 123-79 win over Bradley.
