"It was very enlightening," senior Tom Kelliher said. "When we went to the veterans hospital, we got to sit down and talk with some of the vet- erans. A lot of them gave us their out- look on life in general and helped us to be thankful for what we have." For Kelliher, one bone marrow transplant patient he visited at the children's hospital ― who he de- scribed "just a great kid" ― left an es- pecially big impression with him. "He was awesome," Kelliher said. "He was a wrestler before he got sick. I got to talk to him and his dad. I hope the best for him and hope he can get back to wrestling because you could tell he just loved it."
