'' BADGERS Ask The Question of the Week: You win a million dollars, but you have to donate half to a charity. Which cause do you pick? TESSA CICHY FRESHMAN • WOMEN'S BASKETBALL "I would donate the money to Alzheimer's Foundation of America because my grandpa died from complications with Alzheimer's and I'd like to help provide care and support for those afflicted and research to fight this sad disease." BRAD NARDICK SENIOR • WRESTLING "I would give it to the MACC Fund (Mid- west Athletes Against Childhood Cancer), which is an organization dedicated to fund- ing cancer research. I have a little cousin that has leukemia, so I would definitely give the money to that." DORCAS AKINNIYI SENIOR • WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD "I would donate to people who have been infected with HIV. More than just in the U.S., it's a major problem around the world and a lot of people die so early simply because they don't have the resources to get the medical treatment they need. It would be great to fund research, but also to help the people who are suffering directly." TRAVIS FREDERICK • JUNIOR • FOOTBALL "I think it would go to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. I'm a fan of what they do and I'm a fan of Bill Gates and what he's done in his career. I think they do a great job of distributing money and all of their other philanthropy efforts. It would be a tremendous op- portunity to be able to have them give my money away." 28 » VARSITY NOVEMBER 22, 2012
