The Class of 2017 includes six athletes (Blair Brown – Loudoun Valley, Allen Pinke8 – Park View‐Sterling, Bryan Randall – Bruton, Michael Robinson – Varina, Ka7e Smrcka‐Duffy – James Madison, Alan Webb – South Lakes), two coaches (Amy Reed – Gate City, Norbie Wilson – First Colonial), and three contributors (Francis Dall – Lake Braddock/Wes6ield, Ken Tilley – VHSL, Deb Tyson ‐ Albe‐ marle). Sponsored jointly by the Virginia High School League Hall is dedicated to pre‐ serving the rich heritage of outstanding achievements by students and adults in sports and ac7vi7es within Virginia's public high schools. Athletes are eligible for considera7on 10 years a'er comple7on of their high school careers and are judged primarily for their achievements in interscholas7c sports. Coaches are eligible a'er 15 years of experience or upon re7rement and are judged on the merits of their achievements at the high school level. Con‐ tributors are professionals who have rendered significant services in some other capacity such as administra7on, academic ac7vi7es, officia7ng, media or sports medicine. Nomina7ons are due Oct. 31 of each year for considera7on for the following year. Athletes and coaches are screened by a commi8ee from the Virginia High School Coaches Associa7on and contributors by a commi8ee from VHSL. Final se‐ lec7ons are made by a joint commi8ee.
