RUSH SOCCER IS HERE TO STAY IN WEST TEXAS! RUSH SOCCER HAS ESTABLISHED A FOOTHOLD IN A MARKET LOADED WITH TALENT, BUT WAS LACKING A MATURE CLUB ENVIRONMENT FOCUSED ON DEVELOPMENT AND ENHANCED PLAYER OPPORTUNITY. West Texas Rush Soccer Club started out as a quest of a coach father looking to bring the same playing opportunities to his players that his daughter experienced and enjoyed while playing for New Mexico Rush under coaches Pancho Macias and Justin Sells. With the help of New Mexico Rush and several great long time youth coaches in the El Paso area , Southwest Rush (now West Texas) was established as satellite club of New Mexico Rush in El Paso Texas and Southern New Mexico. Four clubs meshed into one, led by Jando Perez, Mike Griego, DJ Maddaford and Patrick Tapia. What started out as 15 teams and a little over 200 members has grown to close to 40 teams, 25 coaches and over 500 members in four short exciting years. Since their inception in 2013, the club now known West Texas Rush Soccer Club has sent teams to Rush Fest every year and has contributed players to the Rush Talent player pools and teams in different players programs such as the Rush National Select Program, the National Premier League, the Elite Clubs National League and the United States Development Academy. West Texas Rush will continue to grow and mature under the leadership of its National Technical Director, Justin Sells, its Technical Director, Patrick Tapia, its Director of Coaching Mike Griego and CAP Director Jando Perez. The mentorship of the entire Rush Organization has the club headed in a great direction with continued growth and both player and team achievements!
