This year's Terrier squad features eight international players from five foreign countries (Argentina, Australia, Chile, Netherlands, New Zealand). Included in the group is 2012 Olympian Ella Gunson (New Zealand). Over the last five years, five different continents have been represented on the BU roster.

The Terriers have raised money for breast cancer awareness by wearing pink jerseys and the team also participates in several Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) community initiatives each year.
PUBLIC SERVICE
In addition to winning eight conference titles and appearing in 10 NCAA tournaments, the Terriers have finished the year ranked in the top 20 in 20 of the past 27 years and have produced 32 NFHCA All-Americans.

The Boston University Field Hockey Association (BUFHA) was created over 25 years ago and has instilled a sense of
pride and camaraderie with everyone that has come through the program while creating lifelong friendships.
One of the top field hockey coaches in the country, Sally Starr has headed up the BU program for over 30 years, including its entire time at the Division I level. She ranks sixth among active coaches in Division I wins and has led the Terriers to eight conference titles and 10 NCAA appearances.
