However, a more remarkable feat for Decker is that she was sidelined for half of her freshman year and has still obtained admittance into the elite club this early. Decker becomes fastest Badger to reach 200 Senior reaches milestone in fewest games T o the surprise of few, Brianna Decker etched her name, yet again, in the Wisconsin women's hockey record book, this time by be- coming the fastest player to record 200 career points. Decker is just the fifth Bad- ger to reach the 200-point mark, joining Hilary Knight, Meghan Duggan, Sara Bauer 52 » VARSITY OCTOBER 11, 2012 and Brooke Ammerman. With eight points on the weekend against Linden- wood, Decker tallied her 200th point on an assist to linemate Karley Sylvester in Saturday's game. Hilary Knight, the all-time leading point scorer at Wis- consin, put up 200 points in her first 120 games. While the opponent and the situa- tion are different, the environment may be just as inhospitable. Min- nesota Duluth enters the week- end after being swept at AMSOIL Arena by Ohio State. The Bulldogs don't normally lose many games at home, nor start the season win- less, so it should be safe to assume that the Bulldogs will be extremely hungry for their first win when the Badgers head north.
