24 WOMEN'S TENNIS For the 18th time in program history and first time since 2013, the Flames concluded the regular season in first place as they shared a piece of the Horizon League regular season title with Youngstown State and Cleveland State. UIC went 8-1 against conference opponents and produced an overall record of 17-6 for the most wins since 2010. FLAMES COLLECT LEAGUE ACCOLADES A pair of Flames were recognized at the end of the regular season by earning All-Horizon League accolades as Oana Manole was named to the First Team and Georgie Sanders placed on the Second Team. Manole competed all season at No. 1 singles and posted a 6-3 mark against league foes. Sanders was slated at No. 2 and also turned out a 6-3 conference record. Shannon Tully garnered the top honor of Coach of the Year for the ninth time in her 16 years at the helm of the program. The team's 17 victories marked the fifth time in her tenure UIC posted at least 17 wins. After a 6-4 turnout across its first 10 matches, UIC went on to win all but one of its remaining 11 matches in the regular season. Notably, the Flames went on a seven-match win streak in their final stretch that featured 7-0 shutouts against Valparaiso, Green Bay, Detroit Mercy and Oakland. Rachel Le Comber became the first Flame to reach the 20-win mark in singles since 2013-14 as she racked up a team-best 23 victories and ended the year on an 11-match win streak. All but five came in the dual season as she rotated between the No. 4-6 spots, with her most success coming at No. 5 with a 10-0 record. She was equally impressive in doubles where she went 19-10 with 15 dual wins. When teamed up with Melika LeBlanc at No. 1, the duo produced an impressive 13-5 record.
