BLACK AND GOLD SPIRIT GAME/ ANF DAY presented by Iowa Farm Bureau APPROACHING Saturday will be Iowa's fourth consecutive home game. Aſter a bye, and playing their first road game of 2012 at Michigan State the following week, the Hawkeyes will return to Kinnick Stadium for a night game against Penn State. That prime time contest is the "Black and Gold Spirit Game. " Fans are encouraged to wear black and gold by section, when Iowa entertains Penn State in the second annual ANF Day. The rules remain the same: fans in odd-numbered sections wear black, fans in even-numbered sections wear gold. The annual celebration of the heritage and innovation of the Iowa farmer will take place all aſternoon inside the ANF Legends tent on the Krause Family Plaza. Fans are encouraged to visit that location for a special autograph session with former Hawkeyes, and receive ANF merchandise while supplies last. Iowa is 6-3 all-time in night games in Kinnick Stadium, including a 41-31 triumph against Northwestern a year ago. University of Iowa junior free safety Tanner Miller helped the Hawkeyes improve their record to 6-3 in night games with this 98-yard interception return against Northwestern on Oct. 15, 2011 inside Kinnick Stadium.
