In front of a crowd of 81,384 (the largest home crowd since 2008), No. 7 Wisconsin wel- comed No. 8 Nebraska to the Big Ten Conference by handing the Huskers a 48-17 loss at Camp Randall Stadium, matching UW's biggest win over an AP top-10 team.
September 27, 2008 TRIFECTA: Hilary Knight became the first in UW women's hockey history to have a five-goal game. Knight also had a natural hat trick as the Badgers beat Quinnipiac 7-3.

September 30, 1978 THE MCLAIN ERA BEGINS: Dave McClain opened his tenure as UW's head coach at home with a 7-6 win over Richmond.
October 3, 1998 HOME SHEET HOME: Men's hockey opened the Kohl Center in the College Hockey Hall of Fame Game against Notre Dame. Despite a 3-2 loss, a then-home record 13,398 fans turned out to see the Badgers' debut in their new home.
