On third down, the Badgers are allowing opponents an average of 1.8 yards per carry. Opponents are converting just 29.8 percent of their third-down chances against the Badgers, the third-best mark in the Big Ten. Wisconsin is 33-7 under Bret Bielema when allowing opponents to convert 33 per- cent or fewer of their third-down tries.

Head coach Pete Waite recorded his 300th win at Wisconsin against South Alabama on Sept. 15. Waite is the all-time winningest coach at Wisconsin both in wins and winning percentage.
Sophomore Aaren Ziegler led the Badgers for the first time in tourna- ment-play, shooting a personal-best 69 in the final 18 to finish tied for 12th at the Mary Fossum Invitational last weekend. The 69 ties six others for third-best in school history.
